Trash, Recycling and Yard Waste
FishHawk Ranch homes are served by Hillsborough County Solid Waste. Collection days can change, so we will not guess yours. Use the county's "Find My Trash & Recycling Schedule" lookup, enter your address, and it will show your trash, recycling, and yard waste days. For yard waste, the county's weekly limit is 2 cubic yards (about twelve 30-gallon bags or cans), raised to 3 cubic yards in February, March, and April. Storm and Electrical Safety Tips for FishHawk Homes
Check with your HOA first. Planning a standby generator, outdoor equipment pad, or other exterior change? Get architectural review approval from your HOA before work starts. We are happy to provide the details your HOA needs.
Use generators safely. Run portable generators outside, far from doors, windows, and the garage. Never plug one into a wall outlet. A properly installed transfer switch or interlock keeps you and line workers safe.
Protect against summer lightning. Our afternoon storms bring a lot of lightning. A whole-home surge protector at the panel, plus point-of-use protectors for TVs, computers, and pool equipment, helps guard your electronics.
Plan for EV chargers and new loads. EV chargers, pool heaters, and added AC units need properly sized circuits. Have your panel capacity checked before you add a big load.
Check for water. If water reaches outlets, your panel, or appliances, keep the power off and have an electrician inspect before turning it back on.
Know your zone and sign up early. Look up your address on HEAT and sign up for HCFL Alert before June, not when a storm is already in the Gulf.
Stay clear of downed lines. Treat every downed line as live.

Neighborhoods We Serve
FishHawk Ranch is laid out in villages, and most neighbors describe where they live by village name. Here is where we work, grouped the way locals talk about it. Build years come from local real estate guides where available; otherwise the years are when the county recorded the plat, so most homes there are that age or a little newer. Before adding a standby generator or other outdoor equipment anywhere in FishHawk, check with your HOA's architectural review first.
The Original FishHawk Ranch Villages, Off FishHawk Boulevard and Osprey Ridge Drive
County records show the original FishHawk Ranch Phase 1 and Phase 2 plats were recorded from 1997 to 2004. Panels in these homes are now about 20 years old or more, a good time for a checkup and whole-home surge protection.
Eagle Ridge: A gated village near the main entrance, built in the early 2000s. Many homes sit on pond or conservation lots, a good fit for outdoor and landscape lighting circuits.
Heron Glen: One of the largest villages, off Osprey Ridge Drive, built about 2001 to 2004. A good fit for panel checkups and surge protection.
Vireo Ridge: Off Osprey Ridge Drive, built around 2003, with many pond and conservation lots.
Tanager Ridge: Near the front of the community by the nature trails, with smaller homes built from 2000 to 2003.
Martin Meadow: A gated village toward the middle of the community, built from 2002 to 2004.
Avocet: A gated village of 34 executive homes built from the mid 2000s to 2014. Larger homes often call for careful generator sizing.
Newer FishHawk Ranch Sections
Starling at FishHawk: Platted from 2010 to 2013 near FishHawk Boulevard. Newer homes, popular for EV charger installs.
The Preserve at FishHawk Ranch: Platted in 2013 and 2014. Newer homes, often adding EV chargers, generator inlets, and surge protection.
FishHawk Chapman Crossing: Platted in 2010 and 2011, between FishHawk Boulevard and Boyette Road.
FishHawk Ranch West: Platted from 2013 to 2020 along Boyette Road, with its own HOA and LakeHouse. Newer builds, popular for EV chargers and added circuits for home offices.
Next Door to FishHawk Ranch
FishHawk Trails: One of the older neighborhoods in the area, platted from 1996 to 2001 near Lithia-Pinecrest Road and Boyette Road. Original panels and breakers are reaching the age where a checkup makes sense.
Channing Park: Platted from 2007 to 2017, including the Enclave at Channing Park, near Boyette Road and FishHawk Boulevard. A mix of ages, from panel checkups to EV charger installs.
